About this coffee

For this coffee, only the ripest coffee cherries are picked by hand and fermented for 14 days in special tanks under strict supervision. This fermentation gives the coffee a particularly intense aroma. The beans are then dried on drying beds for 20 to 25 days. Then the dry skin is mechanically separated from the bean. At the “BOP” (Best of Panama, 2020), this lot achieved 4th place with the same processing.

ORIGIN INFO

The Farm

The picturesque Finca Lérida is located in Alto Quiel, Boquete, in the immediate vicinity of the world-renowned Lamastus Elida Estate. The farm and associated coffee plantations also benefit from the unique microclimate around the Boquete region and produce excellent lots that have won awards at the BOP time and time again in recent years. Finca Lérida was the first coffee plantation in Panama, which exported coffee to Germany for the first time in 1925. We are very happy about this direct connection to the farm of the Amoruso family and highly appreciate the great attention to detail and the excellent working conditions provided to all employees on the farm.
